Modify Fund Wizard
The Modify Fund wizard guides you through the process of modifying master fund information or a specific fund cycle information.
To modify a fund

In the Fund Search step, identify the fund and cycle you want to modify. |
This wizard includes a Fund Level search type. To further qualify your search, click the Fund Level option and select search values for the different fund levels.

A table of funds meeting your search criteria appears. Your selected search options appear just above this table. |
Note: An overencumbered/spent alert will appear next to funds that are overencumbered.

Select a fund, and click Modify This Fund. |

Review and modify the information on the following tabs carefully to determine that your fund is set up properly. For more information about the fields on these tabs, go to the tab topics. |

The Add Fund Cycle helper is available for you to add a new cycle when modifying this fund. |

|
Click Modify This Fund after you have modified the fund values. A message will appear confirming that the record was updated. Click OK. |
After modifying a fund, you can click one of the following options.

Modify This Fund after you make more changes to this fund |
|
•
|
Modify Another Fund to modify a different fund or fund cycle |
|
•
|
Close to exit the Modify Fund wizard |
Important Considerations When Using this Wizard

•
|
If the Allow Modification of Budget Amount check box is cleared in the wizard Behavior properties, you will not be able to modify the budget amount using this wizard. Use the Modify Fund Budget wizard to change budget amounts. |

If the Block Over Encumbrance check box is selected on the Fund Cycle Information tab of the wizard, and you try to adjust the Budget Amount field such that the fund becomes overencumbered, the “Fund over encumbered/spent” error message displays, and modifications to the fund are not saved. |

|
If the Block Over Expenditure check box is selected on the Fund Cycle Information tab of the wizard, and you try to adjust the Budget Amount field such that the fund becomes overspent, the “Fund exceeds the expenditure limit” error message displays, and modifications to the fund are not saved. |

•
|
If both the Block Over Encumbrance check box and the Block Over Expenditure check box are selected on the Fund Cycle Information tab of the wizard, and you try to adjust the Budget Amount field such that the fund becomes overencumbered or overspent, the “Fund over encumbered/spent” error message displays, and modifications to the fund are not saved. |

If the Block Over Encumbrance check box and the Block Over Expenditure check box are cleared on the Fund Cycle Information tab of the wizard, and you try to adjust the Budget Amount field such that the fund becomes overencumbered or overspent, the “Record updated; Fund over encumbered/spent” warning message displays. The modifications to the fund are saved. |
