Maximum Group Fee WizardMaximum Group Fee WizardThe Maximum Group Fee policy allows you to create different maximum fee levels for different groups of users.
In some libraries, users are charged a fee for overdue items, regardless of how many items are overdue. Furthermore, these fee amounts can be applied differently for different types of users (adults and juveniles), and graduated fee levels can be applied for the length of time overdue (one week, two weeks, over 30 days). The varying fee amounts and graduated fee levels are defined in the Maximum Group Fee policies. How these fees are applied is defined using the Fee Map wizard.
To implement the Maximum Group Fees feature, the SirsiDynix Symphony administrator must select an appropriate value in the Global Configuration wizard. For more information see Configure Maximum Fee Policy.

Attributes
The following attributes are defined for the Maximum Group Fee wizard.

This attribute uniquely identifies a specific Maximum Group Fee policy. This name is ten characters or less, and may not include spaces or punctuation, except for dash (-), underscore (_), and dollar sign ($). Additionally, the pipe character (|) may not be used.
This attribute provides more information about the policy and its use by the library. The description may be up to 60 characters in length. Although the Description attribute may contain spaces and punctuation, the pipe character (|) cannot be used.
Type the minimum number of days for this maximum fee range, or use the Minimum/Maximum gadget to select a number. Zero is an accepted value.
Type the maximum number of days for this maximum fee range, or use the Minimum/Maximum gadget to select a number. To select an unlimited number of days, type 24,999.
Type the amount for this maximum fee. The amount is calculated in the library’s native currency.
