When displaying or modifying an orderline, the Save Order Line to a File helper is available for you to save orderline data to a file on your workstation. The helper outputs orderline data in a comma-delimited format and saves the data to a file with a .csv extension. This file can be viewed using a spreadsheet application.
The Save Order Line to File helper appears as a tool on the Orderlines tab.
To save orderline data to a file
1 | When displaying or modifying an orderline, click the Save Order Line to a File helper. |
2 | A window opens, allowing you to navigate to a folder on your workstation. Type a file name with a .csv extension. (By default, the data file name includes the purchase order number and Library policy name, similar to PO_5_MAIN.csv, or you can rename the file.) |
3 | Click Save, and all data from the orderline will be saved. A confirmation dialog box will display, indicating the data was successfully saved to a file. Click OK. |
4 | Outside the WorkFlows client, navigate to the folder where you saved the file. Double-click the file, and it will open in your default spreadsheet application. |
If ###’s appear in the spreadsheet, the spreadsheet application is indicating that the columns are not wide enough to display all digits. Expand the column widths to display all digits.
