Name Mapping Wizard

Search names represent predefined search terms or index names, such as Author or Title. These search names are associated with search, scan, and sort Z3950 use attributes, which define which bibliographic tags to use when searching or browsing the destination server’s catalog. The Name Mapping policy allows you to create a list of the related search names that are supported by the destination’s server. Because different servers support different searches, multiple Search Name Mapping policies are needed.

Additional Z39.50 information is available from the Z39.50 information link on the SirsiDynix Customer Support Web site (http://clientcare.sirsidynix.com/index.php?goto=Product&pid=14 ).

From the List Policies window, you can create, display, modify, copy, or remove the Name Mapping policies. Click Close to exit the wizard.
