Search Name Policy Helper

Search Name is the SirsiDynix Symphony representation of a Z39.50 search. Search Names are used by the Name Mapping policies to establish those searches that are supported by a destination Z39.50 server. The Search Name Policy helper is used to create or modify Search Names.

Click the Search Name policy helper and the List Policies window displays the delivered search names. In this window you can create, display, modify, copy, and remove Search Name policies.

SirsiDynix delivers standard Search Names which support building name mappings for Bath-compliant searches. It is recommended that you not remove the delivered Search Names.
