Manage Exchange Groups Wizard

The Manage Exchange Groups wizard is used to manage many libraries at the same time by defining exchange library groups. When managing exchange library groups keep in mind the following.

Libraries that exchange items with each other are defined in groups.
All libraries can be grouped together in one group policy, or more refined groupings can be created.
A library can belong to more than one group.
Regional proximity, collections, and library size will influence how the library system will establish groups.

For example, a NW-PUBLIC group was created where Exchange Libraries A, B, C, and D, all in the northwest part of the state and all public libraries, exchange to and from each other.

You can use this wizard for multilevel exchanges where the SirsiDynix Symphony administrator can determine which libraries can exchange with each other. That is, libraries at different levels can exchange directly with each other, without going back to the main library. Branches or sub-branches can exchange directly with each other, allowing for a flexible and customized exchange process.

From the List Policies window, you can create, display, modify, copy, or remove the Exchange Libraries Group policies. Click Close to exit the wizard.
