From the List Policies window, you can create, display, modify, copy, or remove the Mail Service policies. Click Close to exit the wizard.
Attributes
The Mail Service policy contains the following attributes.

This attribute represents a specific mail service. This name is ten characters or less, and may not include spaces or punctuation, except for dash (-), underscore (_), and dollar sign ($). Additionally, the pipe character (|) may not be used.
This attribute provides more information about the policy and its use by the library. The description may be up to 60 characters in length. Although the Description attribute may contain spaces and punctuation, the pipe character (|) cannot be used.
This attribute determines the number of days added to an item’s due date to account for shipping time. The value specified in this field is applied to the loan period at checkout.
For example, an item with a Loan Period of 14 days is checked out via Books by Mail. The Mail Service selected is FEDEX. The Shipping Time for the FEDEX mail service is set at 6 days (3 days shipping to user and 3 days shipping back). When the item is charged to the user, the shipping time specified in the Mail Service policy is applied to the due date. Therefore, instead of the item being due in 14 days, the item is due in 20 days.
