Configure Context Menu Policy

The Configure Context Menu policy is a Global Configuration policy that is read by the WorkFlows client at startup and stored as a global variable. This policy allows you to control whether or not wizard right-click menus are available in the WorkFlows client. Right-click menus are “popup” menus that contain commands and options that can be performed against a selected record. The right-click menu is accessible using a mouse right-click.

The Configure Context Menu policy appears on the Circulation tab of the Global Configuration wizard. The default value for this policy appears in the Select a Policy window. To modify this value, select Configure Context Menu and click Modify. Click a radio button to select one of the policy attributes. Click Save to save your selection. The default is Do Not Display Context Menu.

This policy includes the following attributes.

Display Context Menu

Select this option to display right-click menus in the WorkFlows client. Right-click menus are popup or shortcut menus that contain commands and options that can be performed against a selected record. The right-click menu is accessible using a mouse right-click.

Display Context Menu (prompt for confirmation prior to executing a menu option)

This configuration allows you to perform right-click menu options after WorkFlows displays a confirmation window to verify that you want to complete the action you select.

For example, if you use the right-click option to mark an item missing in a list, after you select “Mark Item Missing,” a confirmation window will open and ask, “Do you wish to continue with Mark Item Missing?” You can then select OK to proceed with the action, or Cancel to go back to the list.

With this configuration, the following right-click menu options will display confirmation widows:

Note: The Renew option will only display a confirmation window if the property to review the item before renew is turned off.

Do Not Display Context Menu

Select this option to suppress the display of right-click menus in the WorkFlows client.
