Produce Suggestion Notice Report Helper

The Produce Suggestion Notice Report Helper allows you to print the Suggestion Notice report while in the Collection Exchange Module without having to access the Reports Toolbar. No template is required for this report to run.

This helper has the following tabs:

Activate Libraries Tab
Sorting Tab

Click the Produce Suggestion Notice Report helper after you have selected one or more libraries for activation to generate a list of items to pull from the collection to exchange to another library.

Be sure that at least one library is checked in this list; otherwise the report will not run and the following message will display in the dialog box:

Error in scheduling Suggestion Notice: no exchange libraries have been selected.

When you click OK on the dialog box, you will be returned to the helper to select a library.

The Produce Suggestion Notice Report helper generates suggestions for the libraries once they have been saved to the activated list. Later, if additional libraries are saved to the activated list, suggestions will only be generated for the new libraries added to the list. This will cause the report not to continuously suggest items for libraries already on the activated list. Also, the suggestions are made only once for a library when the report runs via this helper.

You can run the Suggestion Notice Report from the Schedule Reports wizard if you would like new suggestions for libraries that have already been activated.

Important Considerations When Using this Helper

An Exchange item record is selected only when its exemption period has passed or when the non-return period has passed.
The Confirmation Message that displays shows the name of the finished report and the name of the library where the items on the report will be pulled.
Lists of items in the report output are organized by library. Please refer to the report log and output to verify which libraries were activated.
If a user is logged in as an HQ library and chooses to activate the HQ, the HQ will display in the priority list. The HQ, however, will not display in the Activated Libraries tab when you select the helper. If you are an HQ staff member logged in to WorkFlows, you will not have the option of scheduling a report to produce suggestions for the HQ since the HQ does not have a profile.
Any library with a type HQ, according to the exchange library record, should not display in the list. A branch user, however, will be able to produce a suggestion notice when it activates the HQ. If the user is logged in with a station library linked to an exchange library with a type AFFILIATED, then the user will be able to produce a suggestion notice.
