Paired Fields PolicyPaired Fields PolicyThe Paired Fields policy is a Global Configuration policy that will display only when connecting to SirsiDynix Symphony Unicode servers.
The Paired Fields policy appears on the Cataloging tab of the Global Configuration wizard. The default value for this policy appears in the Select a Policy window. To modify this value, select Paired Fields and click Modify. Click a radio button to select one of the policy attributes. Click Save to save your selection. The default value is Disable Paired Field Functionality.

This policy contains the following attributes.

Disable Paired Field Functionality
Click this radio button to so that the server will not return 880s immediately following the tag to which they are linked. This is the default setting.
Enable Paired Field Functionality
Click this radio button to have the server return 880s immediately following the tag to which they are linked.
WorkFlows paired field functionality is made available in the following Cataloging wizards and will honor the Enable Paired Field Functionality configuration setting when displaying records in the MARC Editor.
