Display Of User Alternative ID Field Policy

The Display Of User Alternative ID Field policy is a Global Configuration policy that is read by the WorkFlows client at startup and stored as a global variable. This policy determines whether or not the system will display User Alternative IDs in booking, cataloging, circulation, outreach, and reserve wizard windows.

The Display Of User Alternative ID Field policy appears on the User Information tab of the Global Configuration wizard. The default value for this policy appears in the Select a Policy window. To modify this value, select Display Of User Alternative ID Field and click Modify. Click a radio button to select one of the policy attributes. Click Save to save your selection. The default value is Display User Alternative ID.

This policy contains the following attributes.

Do Not Display User Alternative ID

Click this radio button to suppress the display of the User Alternative ID field in booking, cataloging, circulation, outreach, and reserve wizards.

Display User Alternative ID

Click this radio button to display the User Alternative ID field in booking, cataloging, circulation, outreach, and reserve wizards.

Note: If this policy is set to No and the Allow Lookup By User Alternative ID policy is also set to No, the User Alternative ID field will be suppressed in the user search windows.
