Use the Add a Cancellation tool to create a cancellation segment for an orderline.
To add a cancellation segment
1 | Click the Add a Cancellation tool. |
2 | A window opens with options that vary depending on whether or not the orderline is for a multi-part set. For details on the various cancellation scenarios, see FAQs: Working with Cancel Segments. Make selections depending on what you want to cancel. |
3 | Click OK, and the cancellation segment will appear above all claims and fundings and distributions in the Segment tree. |
4 | Default values selected in session setting properties may appear for the cancellation segment fields. |
5 | Click Save Your Changes. |
When copies that were previously claimed are canceled, the status of the claim needs to be changed to CANCELED.
When Auto Cancellation of On–Order Holds is configured for your system, and an orderline is cancelled that is associated with a hold, the hold is automatically removed.
