Display Reserve Wizard Properties

You can change current system settings in the Display Reserve wizard using the Set Properties window. The Display Reserve wizard allows you to set the following properties.

Display Property Page

You can choose when to display the Display Reserve wizard’s Set Properties window by selecting one of the following options.

Wizard Startup – displays the Set Properties window the first time you access the wizard until you end the wizard session or log off the client.
Never – does not display the Set Properties window the first time you access the wizard. If Never is selected and you want to open the Set Properties window, point to the wizard’s toolbar button, right click, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.

Depending on the value selected in Display Property Page, defaults may appear as the first step of the wizard. Property values that are changed in the first step of a wizard are retained only until the right click method is used to set properties.

Defaults

Under Options, make the following selections.

Call Number/Item ID:
Level – Specify whether to display copy, call number, or title information about the reserve item.
Extended Info – Select or clear this check box to specify whether or not you want to display extended information for reserve records in the Display Reserve wizard.
Instructor/Course

Stage – Determines the relationship of the instructor and course to any copies of the linked call number. This field controls whether or not the instructor and course display in the reserve list in the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC). You have three Stage options.

Active – Indicates students of the linked instructor/course will be coming to the Reserve Desk. This stage also means that the instructor/course can be browsed in the Reserve Desk on the SirsiDynix Symphony Enhanced Public Access screen.
Inactive – indicates that a reserve is not currently needed for a course and will not be needed in the immediate future, but is expected to be used in the future. This inactive reserve will not be posted to the Reserve Desk browse list.
Prepare – indicates library staff should begin physically retrieving the materials. A request for these materials has been made, however, the materials are not physically present at the Reserve Desk, nor are they available in the reserve browse list.

Helpers

On the Helpers tab, you can select the helpers you want to display with the Display Reserve wizard. Click a specific helper button to display the helper properties that you can set.

Select the Start with Search Helper check box to open the Search helper automatically as the first step in the Display Reserve wizard.
