SirsiDynix Symphony WorkFlows Help

The online Help used in this client contains documentation for SirsiDynix’s WorkFlows Client for the Java Platform™ software.

For information about how to use the Help, see Using SirsiDynix Symphony WorkFlows Help.
For information about using WorkFlows, see Helpers Menu.

The WorkFlows client features wizards that allow you to perform complex library tasks quickly and efficiently. Toolbars provide the most effective way to access these SirsiDynix Symphony wizards. Each SirsiDynix Symphony module is represented with a wizard toolbar. Function key mapping may also be used to access the wizards. The helper bar, menu bar, and navigational tools such as alert windows and hypertext links allow you to move easily through the WorkFlows client. Wizards and helpers can be customized by setting WorkFlows properties.

The following wizards are documented.

When Help refers to a specific SirsiDynix Symphony server directory, the directory structure displayed is, by default, in the UNIX or Oracle format with forward slashes between directory names, such as /Unicorn/Helps/English. SirsiDynix Symphony for Windows Servers users should translate these directories to the Windows Server standard of using backward slashes between directory names, such as \Unicorn\Helps\English.

The Java WorkFlows client currently defaults to Insert mode on both Windows and Macintosh operating systems. On a Windows PC, you may use the Insert key to toggle between the Insert and Overstrike mode in the Cataloging wizards only.
