Load Scanner Transactions Report

The Load Scanner Transactions (Loadscanner) report loads collection inventory data collected from an Intermec TRAKKER® T2090 Handheld Data Collection Computer or from the Intermec 2410 Portable Handheld Terminal. Data must first be uploaded using the Scanner Transfer Utility wizard. The collection inventory data is then integrated into the database with this report.

The SirsiDynix Symphony Workstation server needs to be running to schedule and run this report, or the report will fail. Do not halt the SirsiDynix Symphony Workstation server until the report displays on the finished list.

The Load Scanner Transactions report contains the following tabs.

On the Item Selection tab, select the library for which the scanned data is being loaded in the Library list.

After loading scanner transactions, run the List Inventory by Item Number report to determine which items in the collection have not been inventoried.

For Item Use

When an item is used, the Last Activity and In-house Uses fields are updated. (These fields can only be modified at the workstation using the Mark Item Used wizard on the Circulation toolbar. An item’s use activity information displays only from the item’s platform or glossary information.)

For Inventory

When an item is inventoried, the Date Inventoried and Times Inventoried fields are updated. (These fields can only be modified at the workstation using the Inventory Item wizard on the Circulation toolbar. An item’s inventory information displays only from the item’s platform or glossary information.)

The Count of Transactions Loaded tab allows you to print information in the report output about items that are on the shelf but not currently in your database, and information on items that are not scanned in call number order. The items listed in the report output can be shown in either short form or long form. If an item was charged, but included in the inventory, it is printed in a separate list.

This report may also be used to load data from the Intermec 9440 TRAKKER® Handheld Terminal. However, if you currently use the 9440 TRAKKER, you must use the Scanner Upload Utility wizard to upload data from the scanner. You must also always select Mixed in the Transaction Type on the Count of Transactions Loaded tab when using the data from the 9440 TRAKKER.

If your library is not configured to include the User Access, User Environment, and Location values in the User Profile policy, an additional User Profile Selection selection displays as well.
