Remove Item Bookings Wizard

The Remove Item Bookings wizard allows booking record(s) for a single booking or a group booking to be removed.

To remove item bookings

Use Item Search to search for the booking(s) you want to remove.

If a Current record exists, click the Current information link to access the last record displayed, modified, or added. With the Remove Item Bookings wizard, you have the additional search option of Job ID.

If your search finds results, a list of matching records displays in the hit list area. If the Viewer is turned on, the selected title will display in the lower portion of the window with two tabs, Description and Call Number/Item. If there are open orders associated with the title, the Open Orders Information tab will display.

Select the item for which you want to remove a booking or bookings, and then click Remove Booking.

Note: If you searched by Job ID, all bookings initially display, even those that are charged. If you select any bookings in the list for removal, the next window will only display bookings that are not charged, which is appropriate, since charged bookings cannot be removed.

With Change Booking Lookup Options you can further filter what displays by choosing a pickup library, start date or end date. To update your booking list click Display Item Bookings.

In the Select Booking to Remove window, item and booking information appears at the top. Your search result shows a single booking or a list of bookings containing the following fields.

Name

•

Pickup Library

•

Item Library

•

Patron Booking Starts

•

Patron Booking Ends

•

Start Preparation

•

Cleanup Ends

To remove a booking or multiple booking(s), do one of the following:

To remove all of the bookings for the item, click Remove All option, and click Remove Item Bookings

•

To remove only selected bookings for the item, click the corresponding Remove check box for each booking that you want to remove, and click Remove Item Bookings

If all bookings were removed, you will be returned to the Item Search window. If not, you remain in the Remove Bookings window until you select one of the following options.

•

Return to Search to return to the search list

•

New Search to search another booking record

•

Close to exit the wizard

Bookings may be removed only if they have not been checked out to a user.
