User Extended Information Format Wizard

Extended Information Format policies control the display, editing, and data validation of all extended information fields in every type of record used in SirsiDynix Symphony. A format is a list of entries allowed to be used by a given type of record, along with the characteristics of each entry. The USERX Format policy is used to define the User Extended Information entries.

Only one user extended information format is delivered. You cannot create, copy, or remove this format.

To remove the user previous IDs from the user search, they must be removed from the user extended information brief, full, and template record displays. For more information, see General public user profiles should not have this attribute selected. To automatically clear a user’s previous charge when checking out an item to a new user, a Global Configuration policy must be set. For more information, refer to the Charging of Items Already Charged Policy.

The New User Registration wizard contains a behavior property for you to indicate whether or not to add extended information to the user record. If the Show Extended Info Tab behavior property is selected, the User Extended Information fields will appear. You can modify the format of these fields using the User Extended Information Format wizard.

Click the User Extended Information Format wizard, and the User Extended Info Policy window displays the following tabs. Modify attributes in these tabs as needed.

The following User Extended Information Format entries are delivered.
