Serial Control WizardSerial Control WizardThe Serial Control policy determines whether or not you are going to link your control records to the vendor directly or through an order in the Acquisitions module.
To display the current configuration settings for the Serial Control module, click the Serial Control wizard icon on the Configuration toolbar. The Serial Control Policy window appears. From this window you can modify the policy attributes, then click Save to Save your changes, or Click Close to exit the wizard.
Attributes
The Serial Control wizard displays the following attributes.

| • | Serial Control Record Linked to Orderline Items |
This attribute provides more information about the policy and its use by the library. The description may be up to 60 characters in length. Although the Description attribute may contain spaces and punctuation, the pipe character (|) cannot be used.
Serial Control Record Linked to Orderline Items
This attribute specifies whether or not your control records will link directly to the vendor or through an order. If selected, the control records are linked through an order; if cleared, the control records are linked directly.
