Metadata Format Wizard

Format policies control the display, editing, data validation, and indexing of all fields in bibliographic and holdings records used in SirsiDynix Symphony. A Format policy is a list of entries allowed to be used by a given type of record, along with the characteristics of each entry. All formats in SirsiDynix Symphony have been grouped according to their general purpose or use. By assigning a particular purpose to a format, SirsiDynix Symphony prompts the user only with appropriate format choices at any place in the system when a Format policy is requested.

For Hyperion, the DUBLIN and HYPERX Metadata Format policies are delivered.

From the List Policies window, you can create, display, modify, copy, or remove the Metadata Format policies. Click Close to exit the wizard.

Selecting a Hyperion Format policy displays the Basic Tab for the Format Policy and Entries Tab for the Format Policy. See the tab topics for more information about the Format policy attributes.
