How do I suspend a user’s hold?
If user who has holds reports that he or she will be on vacation or academic break while waiting for the items to become available, you can suspend the holds. The Date Suspended box and Date Unsuspended box in the Modify User Holds wizard are used to suspend a user’s holds. When a hold is suspended, it cannot be filled or trapped for the specified period of time. When the suspension ends, the hold retains its place in the hold queue.
