Global Adjustments Helper

The Global Adjustments helper may be used to adjust funds retrieved from a results list. The helper automatically calculates percentage adjustments and adjusts multiple funds by the same amount.

The following options are available both when making global adjustments to existing funds.

Replace – Replaces the existing budget amount or the previous fiscal budget with the value entered into the corresponding field.
Increase Amount – Adds the value entered into the corresponding field to the existing budget amount or the previous fiscal budget. The library’s native currency is used.
Increase Percentage – Calculates the percentage value entered into the corresponding field of each budget amount or previous fiscal budget and increases the amount by the specified percentage.
Decrease Amount – Subtracts the value entered into the corresponding field from the existing budget amount or the previous fiscal budget. The library’s native currency is used.
Decrease Percentage – Calculates the percentage value entered into the corresponding field for each budget amount or previous fiscal budget and decreases the amount by the specified percentage.

All values should be typed as whole or decimal numbers without any additional punctuation, including $ and %. For example, type 2000 not $2000, 25.50 not $25.50, 20 not 20%, and 2.5 not 2.5%.

After the existing funds have been adjusted, you may continue to use this helper to make modifications to the budget values. The adjustments are displayed in the Adjust field of the wizard, and are not added to or subtracted from the budget amount until you click Adjust Fund Budgets.

For example, after rolling over funds, the helper was used to increase both of these funds by 50 %. The value and the corresponding action display, but the calculated value is not displayed until OK is selected.
