Renew Reserve Wizard
The Renew Reserve wizard is used to check out a reserve item after the initial check out, extending the loan period. Because the reserve item is currently checked out to the user requesting a renewal, the amount of time the item can be borrowed is simply extended.
To renew a reserve item

Click the Renew Reserve wizard. |

If you want the renewal to be recorded as a “seen” renewal (item is physically present for the renewal), select the Mark Item as Seen check box, if it is not already selected. |

In the Item ID box, scan the item’s barcode or click Get Reserve Information. |
|

Review the displayed information in the Basic Information, Individual Reserve, Copies, and Extended Information tabs. |

Change the Expires date or any other information and click Modify. |
After renewing the date on the item, select one of the following options:

Another to renew another reserved item |

Close to exit the wizard |
Important Considerations When Using this Wizard

•
|
If a current record exists for the item, click the Current record button to access the last record displayed, modified, or added. |

•
|
If a Reserve Desk has not yet been selected in your WorkFlows session, a message displays to select a Reserve Desk. Click OK to close the message, and then select Reserve Desk settings in the Session Settings wizard. |

|
If a workstation has a receipt printer, you can use the Checkout or Renew Reserve wizards to print date and time due slips. |

|
If you entered the item ID manually, you can click Get Reserve Information to display item information. If the item has any exceptions, a status alert may display. |

|
You can sort listed individual reserves in ascending or descending order. To do this, click the column heading of the column you want to sort. |
